Offering glassblowing classes is one of the highest-liability activities in the art studio world. Novice students working near open furnaces, handling blowpipes, and working with molten glass create real injury risks. Insurance designed for teaching studios is essential — and fundamentally different from basic studio liability.
Waivers reduce but do not eliminate liability. In many states, waivers cannot waive gross negligence or certain statutory rights. Insurance is what actually protects you financially if a student is injured and pursues a claim despite signing a waiver.
Most venues require $1M–$2M per occurrence studio liability with the venue listed as additional insured. Some high-end venues or educational institutions require $3M–$5M. We can accommodate any common limit requirement.
